The Plain Cornhole Boards from We Sell Cornhole are some of the best “plain” boards we’ve tested to date.  I’m a big fan of plain boards, as they give you the ability to customize and personalize them later, which is great for someone who can paint, but isn’t much of a builder.

What separates the We Sell Cornhole plain boards from others we’ve tested is the construction.  Sometimes plain boards can be pretty rough around the edges, but We Sell Cornhole has taken a few extra steps to improve on the quality of the boards.  Screw heads, plywood imperfections, and major wood joints have been filled with exterior wood filling, then re-sanded for a smooth finish.  These boards are unpainted, but they don’t give the impression of being “unfinished”, as can be the case with Plain boards.

It’s worth mentioning that the construction on these is really sturdy.  They’ve used screws and construction adhesive to secure the plywood to the 2×4 base.  It’s a nice added touch that will extend the life of the boards.  The framing is also 2×4′s, which makes for sturdier boards.  The legs fold back inside of the boards, so they’re a nice set for travel, too.

Overall, the We Sell Cornhole boards are simple, but well crafted and a great deal for only $85.

Pros & Cons

Pros: A great set of boards for the price.  Sturdy construction.  Plain boards can be customized however you want.

Cons: Unpainted.  You can play on the unpainted boards, but you’re going to want to paint or prime them at some point.

We Sell Cornhole boards are ACA regulation size (48″ X 24”), the height in the front is 4″ and the height in the back is 12 ” from the ground. The top playing deck is made with 1/2″ AC sanded plywood with the frame made of 2″ X 4″ pine boards. The plywood is secured to the frame with decking screws & exterior construction adhesive to ensure lasting durability.
